Legionella monitoring

Legionnaire’s disease is caused by inhaling Legionnella bacteria. Hot and cold water systems in general are vulnerable to Legionella. Car washes, particularly with reclaim systems, are potential hot spots due to water storage and water vapour while in use. Remedial action including disinfection can eliminate any identified problem. Waterworks provide microbiological testing, sampling and inspection of hot and cold water systems.
