Forecourt Drainage Services
The bp / Bovis Global Alliance uses Waterworks to manage the drainage network for more than 400 bp retail sites. Waterworks’ interceptor inspections reduced costs and ensure bp meets environmental requirements to maintain the forecourt interceptor twice a year. The quality of service for planned preventative maintenance has reduced the number of reactive call outs. Response times to reactive call outs have improved. Water Works track maintenance costs by site and by service area and makes continuous suggestions for cost reduction and improvement.

Biodiversity
West Sussex County Council wanted a simple, traffic-light type indicator that can be submitted with a planning application and serve as an easily understood visual guide to the development’s impact on biodiversity. Thus a high-scoring, ‘green-light’ development project will undertake measures to enhance biodiversity, whereas a red-light, low-scoring development project will have taken no account of the site’s existing and potential wildlife value.
The Council asked Waterworks to help design the indicator. A prototype indicator was trialled on one of the council’s own property developments. The index was then refined and now has the visual form of a flower.
